havent done any entries here today. spent most of today just kind of doing mop up after getting the tarot reader app deployed. administration and maintenance. nothing much to report.

one thing I did though was collate a lot of my expenses for the 10tacular Research project, which I guess I'll say started in July. It didnt get serious until december, but I made my first payment for chatgpt in july so let's start the accounting then.

total expenses so far are 2120.41. $1315 of that was the laptop. most of the rest was things like chatgpt, anthropic, go daddy. I havent seen a bill form aws yet I'm sure that'll be exciting. I could probably look it up right now.

yeah looks like we're doing about $20/month on aws. or at least this month anyway.

I have some ideas for more stuff I want to do with the tarot card reader, but I dont know if that's what I want to spend my time on right now. I think I should get up to speed with what's been release this week. hugging face apparently has some new low-weight libraries for making agents. we'll see about that. this week has been slow even for ai. christmas, new years, you know. I'm not going to say that things need to pick up. but I do wonder what will come out next. there are multiple teams working on this stuff and they probably all feel like they need to be competetive. it's interesting to watch if nothing else.

I should put in the record now that claude3.5 has been the champ llm lately. chatgtp seems dumb and confused in comparison. I havent even messed with gemnini much except for notebookllm.

I think the next project is going to be autonomous programming. i already ran an experiment with an agent communicating with cursor agent and developing a piece of software according to its own whims.

the way that experiment started out the agent proposed a script that calculate fibonacci numbers and I said okay go ahead. when I checked on it later the thing had turned into
