ok. been up for half an hour. thinking about attacking this ... *thing* again. first take a shower and give the pills some time to kick it.
part of the purpose of this rss feed is to act as a notebook. somehow being able to fire these posts off into the noosphere motivates me to keep up with the notetaking. having timestamps on the entries helps me know how long I spent of activities, and how long I spent screwing around. plus I love timestaps for some reason. my love of timestamps is akin to my love of radio. I'll explain my love of radio sometime, maybe. but my love of timestamps, this has annoyed some people in the past, which makes me cherish timestamps so much more. timestamps are so close to my heart that anyone who complains about my love for them complains about me in my essence. reveal yourself thus and count yourself among my enemies.

okay, here we go. starting back on this project. which is to get the tarot reader web app deployed to the web.
A lot of the time that this process takes is because aws is just slow. I realize there is a lot going on but I dont see why it has to be quite this slow.

it seems like we inch closer to success each time we make another attempt at eb create. right now I'm waiting for an eb terminate command to finish, the I'm gonna do another eb create. I hope this is the one.

I hit 'submit' and went and did other things for a while. that was about 6:20. Come back to find it had timed out. Trying again.

nope. gonna try chrome next but first I got some errands.

looks like I'm trying again. I have to get the necessary login credentials so I can use chrome to take another shot at it.

chrome didnt work. now we're trying setting up with a sample application, adjusting the configuration, then uploading. but adjusting the configuration was not possible. might be the .ebextension files. so now I have to terminate and look at the files.
while it's terminating I'm going to run a couple more errands.
... not yet. termination finished. now we're talking about trying creating the app in a different aws region. I'll get into that when I get back.

got back about fifteen minutes ago. almost all the way through initiating a 'create environment' on a different aws region.

and then the wifi shut down at 1:15 not the first time it's happened. I have to investigate that. meanwhile, I have decided to take a break.
oh, I guess I should mention that the switch regions tactic didnt work. next is to try creating a template. had done that and was trying to figure out how to use the template from the eb settings when the wifi shut down
