back now. woke up in the middle of the night last night and started the project back up. it's a little after 4:30 now, I'm installing things on the central lab computer, tentacular-base, according to chatgpt's instructions. ubuntu wont let me use pip to install things globally. going back and forth with gpt about what package manager to use.

also fixed the time zone on these posts. timestamps said I was posting from +0800 when in should have been -0800. error is fixed as of this post.

just figured out the exact reason rss posts were linking to 404 on the web. I think I fixed it. though there's a good chance I made some kind of error. I dont think the fix will trigger a big download of new posts. subscribers from previous to this post will probably retain erroneous posts and not get new ones.

had a hang on reboot. tried to get gemini to help me fix it but that thing is stupid. claude did a great job. chatgpt is broken today
